This Purple Nourish Smoothie is healthy and energizing. Made by blending blueberries, spinach, banana, hemp hearts, chia and coconut yogurt. It’s a wonderful smoothie to nourish the body and detoxify.
Enjoy this healthy purple nourish smoothie for breakfast or snack time. Or, have it amongst my 3-Day Cleanse if you’re looking to re-energize and de-bloat.
The ingredients in this recipe are simple and minimal. I’ve opted in for using hemp hearts and chia instead of protein powder. They are a great source of protein and are in their purest form, instead of being processed. The blueberries are antioxidant rich, and we are sneaking in some greens with spinach. In addition, the coconut yogurt and banana are healthy fats to keep us fuller longer.
If you prefer to use protein powder over hemp hearts, I recommend using a clean plant-based protein powder. Check the back of the ingredient list to make sure it’s simple and minimalist. (They’re often filled with aspartame and fillers)
You may notice this purple nourish smoothie is a little less sweet as a result of not using protein powder. But it helps to nip those sugar cravings in the butt! If you really find you like a sweeter smoothie try adding another 1/2 banana, or 1/4 cup mango.

I keep coming back to this smoothie recipe, it’s perfect! I have substituted avocado for yogurt when I’m out, both ways are creamy and delish!
Maureen I’m thrilled you keep coming back to this recipe! Thanks for the tip about the avocado too! 🙂
