Fall Favourites

Hi friends! Summer has officially come to an end, but I am absolutely loving the crisp fall vibes in the air! I recently purchased a new Nordic Ware Pumpkin Pan and it has inspired me to create a fall round-up of my favourite fall items for 2022.

These fall must-haves are going to motivate you to embrace the fall season in all it’s glory! It can be hard to navigate through all the fall themed advertising out there, but I’ve got you covered. Let’s celebrate fall by bringing some warmth, colour and fun into our day.

So, let me share my top 10 fall favourites so you can enjoy them pronto!

Top 10 Fall Favourites of 2022

Kitchen Must-Haves:

1. Nordic Ware Wheat & Pumpkin Cast Loaf Pan

The idea for this fall round-up sprung because I got this new Nordicware Pumpkin Pan. It’s design is so beautiful and makes for a show-stopping loaf without any hassle. It transforms an easy recipe, like my Vegan Cornbread, into an absolute work of art!

This lovely loaf pan creates perfectly sweet, moist, and well textured bread. After minimal prep and a bake in the oven, this bread will be ready to slice and slather in vegan butter. It will surely impress all your guests this season!

2. Nordic Ware Woodland Cakelet Pan

This beautiful pan captures the spirit of a walk in the woods on a crisp autumn day. One tray makes 9 cakelets, so you might want to purchase 2 trays to make a larger batch in a shorter amount of time.

3. Williams Sonoma Fall Rolling Impression Pie Crust Cutter

I absolutely love this crust cutter from Williams Sonoma. It comes with four interchangeable silicone wheels. You can create braid, apple, oak leaf and acorn patterns while the rotary edge trims the dough. It’s also great for cutting decorative lattice strips and embellishing pocket pies, shortbread cookies and filled pastries.

A must-have for elevating your apple pies this season!

4. Niyofa Cotton Linen Apron

This Linen Apron comes in three colours; beige, black and a foodie fall colour called turmeric! (Love the name!).

It has a cross-back strap design with no ties and two cute and convenient pockets. It’s easy to put on and take off, comfortable, and the large bib apron provides great coverage all the way from your chest to knees. (I don’t know about you but I’m a mess in the kitchen, and this full-body coverage is welcomed!)

Fall Fashion Must-Haves:

5. Beltan Wool Blend Sweater

One of my favourite colours is purple and I’m a real sucker for sweater weather, so when I saw this Beltan Wool Blend Sweater I knew I had to have it! I wear it with pants, skirts, and even over my dresses.

My stylist taught me a freat sweater tucking trick using a thin belt, which converts this average sweater length into a crop sweater situation. I love the versatility this option provides!

It has dropped shoulders, a stand collar, ribbed texture and is the perfect pullover. I’ll be cozy in this throughout the fall, winter and even in the spring.

Made in Italy and true to size (I bought in a Size S), I recommend this comfy sweater as the temps start dropping, it will keep you smiling even on the coldest days!

6. Soju Stripe Sleeveless Sweater

Perfect for fall, this stripped sleeveless sweater is my go-to closet item this season! I’ve worn it SO many times and the fall season has only just begun.

I love a good crewneck and what better way to show it off then with this soft blend of cotton, wool and cashmere.

My favourite way to wear this is sleeveless knit is with jeans and a white t-shirt or blouse. The styling possibilities are endless; you can mix and match just about anything you fancy with this comfy vest as if it’s an accessory!

7. Ruben Jacket

Fall and denim are an attractive match. This mid-weight, non-stretch denim sleeveless jacket is 100% cotton and gives me total fall vibes. It’s decked out with a collared neckline, snap flap and hidden zip placket, and slant front pockets. I don’t know about you, but it makes me feel ready for a fall outing in such a fashion-forward way!

8. Gabriel Skirt

Get ready for that summer to fall fashion merge with this lightweight slinky mesh Gabriel Skirt. This skirt has a shirred waistband, tiered seams and a thigh-high front slip.

I was drawn to the metallic finish on this paisley print material. It’s so comfortable I can casually lounge around in it all day whether in the kitchen or playing with bubs. It dresses me up to look quite elegant, but is also casual with a sweater on top. Perfect for any outing and situation!

9. Faux Suede Tucker Jacket

I LOVE this Faux Suede Tucker Jacket in Toasted Caramel. The long sleeves are great for the cooler fall days and I couldn’t resist such a satisfying colour to get me in the fall spirit. It looks great buttoned up or left open with a cute t-shirt underneath. It’s also a great jacket to grab for on the go, when I take my son out for walks in his stroller on a brisk fall day.

10. Stella McCartney Vegan Leather Tote

Another fall colour to compliment your fall wardrobe is this burgundy, vegan leather tote is my favourite new bag. It’s large enough to carry all your goodies while looking absolutely on point.

I love Stella McCartney and her initiative to offer trendy vegan options to traditional leather items. This bag is so stylish and versatile!

Conclusion

So there we have it! My 2022 fall favourites; kitchen and fashion must-haves. I hope these items get you inspired to enjoy fall fashion and food just as much as I do!

Happy fall ya’ll!

Serves 8 people

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups cornmeal
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour (more for sprinkling)
  • 1 cup cane sugar
  • 3 tbsp ground chia (or ground flax)
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Wet Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F/180C. Spray loaf pan with oil and lightly sprinkle with flour. (This will help to stop the bread from sticking when inverted).
  • In a small mixing bowl add the cornmeal, flour, cane sugar, ground chia, and baking powder. Mix to combine.
  • In a medium mixing bowl whisk together avocado oil, coconut milk and almond milk. Slowly add the dry ingredients and fold together with a spatula until just combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a prepared pan. Gently tap on the counter to remove air bubbles. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the edges of the loaf are lightly browned and a toothpick inserted into the middle of the loaf comes out clean.
  • Let the loaf cool on a cooling rack for 10 minutes, then invert onto the cooling rack.
