This Green Goddess Smoothie is healthy and invigorating. It’s made with pear, avocado, cucumber, spinach, parsley, ginger, hemp hearts and a squeeze of lemon. I love having this Green Goddess Smoothie when I’m looking to detoxify and re-energize.
This recipe is easy to throw together. It has less than 10 ingredients making it minimalist. In addition, all the ingredients are natural and pure. I’ve avoided protein powder in this smoothie, opting in for hemp hearts instead. It’s a great source of protein. Since this recipe is about detoxifying and cleansing the ingredients are as unprocessed as possible.
If you prefer to use protein powder over hemp hearts, I recommend using a clean plant-based protein powder. Check the back of the ingredient list to make sure it’s simple and minimalist. (They’re often filled with aspartame and fillers). In addition, the avocado in this smoothie is a healthy fat to keep you fuller for longer, and the parsley is cleansing and detoxifying.
You may notice this recipe is a little less sweet as a result of not using protein powder. But it helps to nip those sugar cravings in the butt! However, if you really find you like a sweeter smoothie try adding 1/2 banana or 1/4 cup mango.
Overall this is a healthy smoothie great for breakfast, or snack time. Or, enjoy it as a meal in my 3-Day Cleanse to re-energize and de-bloat.

This smoothie was so good! I used 1/3 an avocado, half the green apple, added fresh mint, used coconut water, and 1/4 cup fresh mango. So yummy!
So glad that you enjoyed it Emily!
