10-Minute Golden Turmeric Lattes with Almond Milk

Cozy and comforting golden turmeric lattes, made with almond milk, turmeric, cinnamon, and ginger. Sweetened with agave syrup. A glowing warm drink ready in 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups almond milk
  • 1 cup filtered water (or more milk, if you like it very creamy)
  • 2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp coconut oil
  • 2 tsp agave
  • 2 pods cardamom (or 1/8 tsp ground cardamom)
  • 1 stick cinnamon (or 1/4 tsp ground ginger)
  • 3 pepper corns

Instructions

  • In a saucepan combine almond milk and water. Bring to a simmer. Add turmeric, ginger, coconut oil, and agave. Whisk to combine. Add cardamom pods, cinnamon stick and pepper corns. Simmer milk for 5-10 minutes.
  • Remove cardamom and cinnamon. Pour latte through a mesh sieve/strainer into two cups to catch peppercorns, and ensure latte is smooth in consistency.

Note: save cinnamon stick and cardamom pods for re-making this recipe. I used them twice more before discarding.
