Sticky and sweet caramelized bananas. A easy 4-ingredient recipe made with bananas, coconut sugar, coconut oil and cinnamon. Pan-fried on the stove top and ready in 15 minutes! These healthy caramelized bananas are so sweet and euphoric. Serve overtop of yogurt, ice cream, oatmeal or your favourite sweet treat.
In a small saucepan on medium heat, melt the coconut oil. Sprinkle in the coconut sugar and a pinch of cinnamon and mix together. Add the sliced bananas, flat side down, to the skillet clustering them into the saucepan.
Cook the bananas until the bottom has browned, caramelized, and softened, about 3 minutes. Then flip and cook the other side until browned and caramelized, another 3 minutes.
Remove from heat and serve the caramelized bananas on top of your favourite oatmeal, porridges, pancakes, waffles and crepes, ice cream or yogurt!
