Vegan  Cinnamon Rolls

RECIPE REVIEW

Step 1

Add milk, butter and sugar to a saucepan, then whisk until heated.

Step 2

Pour in a bowl, sprinkle in yeast, whisk to combine, cover and let sit until foamy.

Step 3

Add salt and 2 ¼ cups of flour; mix well. Cover and proof for one hour, or until almost doubled in size.

Step 4

Add ½ cup more flour and knead.

Step 5

Form into a plush ball, then sprinkle work surface with flour.

Step 6

Roll the dough into a rectangle about ½ inch thick, 18 inches long by 11 inches wide.

Step 7

Slather dough with butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll up dough into a log.

Step 8

Cut into 11 equal pieces (about 4.5 cm wide).

Step 9

Transfer rolls to a pan. Brush tops with melted butter. Cover and proof for 15 mins.

Step 10

Bake at 350C/180F for 25 to 30 mins, or until tops are lightly golden brown.

Step 11

Whisk together the icing sugar and milk.

Step 12

Drizzle the icing sugar over the rolls, serve and enjoy!
