Hiya friends, say hello to this pizza bianca recipe! It’s entirely vegan (say what!?) and perfect for the summer time! Made with vegan mozzarella, fresh peaches, basil and balsamic glaze to drizzle; this is a recipe that brings the wow-factor!
I’ve served this pizza to both vegans and vegan skeptics and everyone is a fan! I love making this pizza bianca when I’m in the mood to switch it up from my more classic homemade vegan pizza with marinara sauce. This pizza bianca uses a base of garlicky olive oil instead of tomato sauce, the recipe is so gourmet, decadent and tantalizing for the taste buds! The combination of savoury pizza and sweet peaches is heavenly!
And best of all, it’s really easy to make this recipe – taking no longer than 10 minutes to put together, and under 20 minutes to cook in your oven! (It’s even quicker if you have a pizza oven!).
So, let me tell you exactly how to make this recipe, so that you can enjoy it pronto.
This recipe is:
When I say that this recipe is perfect for summer time, I mean it! I love a recipe that’s quick to whip together, and that you can be enjoying in 30 minutes or less.
The recipe also uses sweet fresh peaches, which are so plentiful at this time of year. We might not think of using peaches in savoury dishes, but I urge you to give it a try!!
When it comes to fruit on pizza, pineapple gets all the glory, but it really should be peaches! Don’ get me wrong – Pineapple pizza is the bomb-diggidy. But so are peaches! They are delicious cooked, so juicy and sweet! I love the combo of sweet and savoury that this pizza offers.
You might be asking, what the heck is “pizza bianca?” Well, pizza bianca is a “white pizza” that uses only white cheeses (in our case, vegan of course) for topping.
As well, instead of using tomato sauce, it uses olive oil to paint the dough, which gives the crust a beautiful crisp texture that is SO delicious! I absolutely love making pizza with olive oil instead of tomato sauce, like my Fig and Arugula Pizza, Zucchini and Pineapple Pizza and Salad Pizza!
The good news is that there are so many vegan mozzarella brands on the market now! The bad news is that not all of them are good!
You might be wondering which vegan mozzarella brands I used for this cheese? My favourite brand to use is Miyokos Creamery organic cashew milk mozzarella. The texture and flavour is just like the real stuff. Cut it into chunks and use it to decorate this pizza. It’s melts beautifully on pizza.
I’ve also used shredded vegan mozzarella for sprinkling. I really like Daiya’s shredded mozzarella because it’s melty and stretchy with good flavour. (FYI these cheese brands are not sponsored. I just really love them. You can use whatever brand you like!)
And, if you’re feeling chef-y than I encourage you to try making your own vegan mozzarella! I’ve got a really easy recipe on the blog for Melty and Stretchy Vegan Mozzarella Cheese. It’s quick to whip together and I use this recipe all the time for topping on pizza, including my Vegan Pizza Recipe (with homemade pizza dough).

There’s no doubt that the plant-based movement has surged over the past few years. As a result, most grocery stores now carry vegan mozzarella cheese. (The future is vegan, folks!)
For the specific brands I mentioned above, I have the most success finding them at Longos and Wholefoods.
